Jessica

Bride, Jessica, commissioned me to make the wedding dress of her dreams. After trying on many dresses she found a shape that she loved on herself. In addition to her dress she also requested a show stopping cape. After determine the final design, I constructed multiple musiln’s for her to ensure the fit was correct. We then started constructing the dress in the duchess satin fabric. Using the dresses simplistic design, I added a unique decorative lace on the bodice and train of the dress. The cape, made of chiffon, was designed to draw attention to Jessica’s face as she walked down the isle. The lace went around her shoulders and all the way around the hem of the dress. Together the dress and cape created a stunning dress that Jessica was estate to wear on her wedding day.

Nikie

Bride, Nikie, purchased her wedding dress off the rack but she wanted to add something special. She commissioned me to enhance her dress by adding lace from her mothers dress and a cape. After taking all the lace off of her mothers dress, together we decided where to add the lace on the bodice of the dress. It was placed specifically to make Nikie feel comfortable in her dress and draw attention to her face. I then made a detachable chiffon cape that was embellished with lace from her mothers dress.

Alicia

Bride, Alicia, commissioned me to redesign her Grandmother's 60year old bridal gown. She wanted to maintain the beauty of her Grandmother's gown while redesigning it in to a modern style that flattered her body and was uniquely hers. With the bride's involvement the gown was completely deconstructed and redesigned. This included removing the old beading and lace (which was repurposed into the new gown),  redesigning the bodice, developing a new skirt, and reassembling and beading the dress. I supplemented some of the original materials with georgette.

Rachel

Bride, Rachel, commissioned me to redesign her mothers bridal gown. As a dancer, Rachel wanted a dress she could move and have fun in. Her idea was to have a peekaboo romper with an overskirt and maintain her favorite part of her mothers dress, the heart on the back. I began with pulling all of the lace off her moms dress and repurposing the satin to build the romper. The overskirt was a simple silk tulle and satin skirt with a beaded belt on top, which Rachel tore off during her awesome Daddy Daughter Dance to get the party started!

Ariel

Bride, Ariel, brought me a beautiful wedding dress that her mother and grandmother both wore. She wanted to keep the family tradition in hopes her daughter would one day wear the dress but wanted to put a more modern spin on it. I started by cleaning the dress and bringing life back in to the beautiful 80 year old lace. I took the sleeves off and reshaped the neckline, lots of alterations were needed as sizing was dramatically different. All 50 the buttons had to be replaced, the hem discreetly lengthened and a bustle put in place. The end result was a beautiful heirloom dress that will get passed on for many more generations.

Noelle’s bridesmaids dress was made of patterned glitter mesh, lined in a gold silk satin. The custom seaming, intricate design and open back allowed this dress to be a show piece that complimented the bride.

Sue’s mother of the brides dress was made of burgundy velvet. The design allowed for a simple yet elegant asymmetric dress with interest flowing from the shoulder and down the back in black sparkle mesh.

John

John, a huge Vin Diesel fan, approached me with an awesome idea to create a replica fur coat from one of Vin Diesel’s famous movies, XXX (shown bellow). I had never worked with fur before so this was a huge and exciting process to learn. We made some minor design modifications to the original the Vin Diesel coat, such as inset pockets instead of welt pockets. After developing a few muslins to verify fit, I then stretched and prepped the fur for construction. The entire coat was hand sewn. The coat is made of Italian sheep fur, shearling, and a breathable mesh lining.
